AT THE ANTENATAL CLINIC OF KUBWA GENERAL HOSPITAL, ABUJA.

WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK 2017

We commemorated the World Breastfeeding Week, 2017 at the General Hospital Kubwa, Abuja.

This was a seminar organised for expectant mothers to educate them on exclusive breastfeeding as an important factor in ensuring the health and well-being of infants. We had over 40 expectant mothers in attendance and they all learnt so much that will eventually help them have a better breastfeeding experience and sustain breastfeeding for the recommended first six months of life, enabling them ensure the health, and proper growth and development of their infants.

At Thriving Up, we believe that by harnessing the power of mothers as primary caregivers, teaching them how to become expert caregivers in providing care for their babies, we can ensure newborn survival, reduce stress, help babies gain weight and allow their brains to develop optimally, generally promoting their health and wellbeing.
